Jim McMaster and rider Patty Kennedy in JS-41 JUST FOR FUN are suddenly left with no place to go when Dave Greenlaw and his rider, after locking up their engine, are thrown out of the JS-99 VERI CHERI right in front of McMaster. To avoid hitting Greenlaw and his rider, already in the water, McMaster has no choice but to run over the VERI CHERI which causes the JS-41 to be launched into the air then stuffing itself into the water. Luckily no one was seriously injured in this mishap but the same can not be said for the boats, both of which were repaired by J&S Fiberglass Specialties. Surprisingly the JUST FOR FUN sustained minimal damage, the worst of which was the hatch which broke into four pieces when the boat was driven under water when it landed. The hull had only cosmetic damage and other than the propeller the underwater hardware survived. Unfortunately the VERI CHERI did not fare nearly as well. That boat required an entire new deck and hatch all three bulkheads and one third of the right side of the hull had to be replaced.
