Good friend and former partner Jack Lawrence returned east to assist in building this boat in 1982. The boat was taken back to Nevada and Jack raced it on the West coast with the intention of getting the Skiff class started there. The Skiffs out west frequently ran with the Crackerboxes when there weren't enough Skiffs for a class of their own and the Snow Goose, as the Skiff to beat on the west coast did quite well running against the Crackerboxes.
In 1984 Julian Rucki of Concorde, CA. purchased the boat and continued racing it in west coast events till the end of skiff racing there. The boat was bought by Ken Cranmer of Tuckerton, NJ. and was raced in New Jersey Speed Garvey Association races for a time. It was eventually sold to Caesar Simonelli the owner of S&S Speed Skiffs, who used it to make a set of molds. Caesar then sold the boat to Bob Presley of Long Branch, NJ. the current owner, who races it as JS-9 KENTUCKY BLUE.
